Changes to ASB Visa Platinum Rewards Travel Insurance
From 15 September 2026 the underwriter of the ASB Visa Platinum Rewards Travel Insurance Policy is Zurich Australian Insurance Limited, trading as Zurich New Zealand. For more detail about these changes, please visit our travel insurance changes page.
Important changes include:
• Cover for cruise itineraries is no longer included but can be purchased as an optional add-on prior to departure. You can arrange cover using the Activation Questionnaire prior to your departure overseas.
• Benefit A. Medical and evacuation expenses, Funeral or return of remains to New Zealand limit increases to $30,000 per person.
• Benefit C. Luggage, personal money and travel documents, per item limit increases to $3,000 per person.
• Benefit D. Overseas rental vehicle hire limit increases to $8,000 per family.
